MC and I ---from Day 1---knew something was missing!  

It took us a year and a half....BUT..... we figured out what the missing element was....

A HANGING LAMP OVER THE FRONT DOOR

It has been a long journey to accomplish what should have been a simple task!  At times it has been frustrating, but in the end,  it has been well worth all the time and stress!

In case some of you aren't aware, MC and I live in a DelWebb SunCity Community.  There are very strict architectural guidelines the homeowners MUST adhere to.  We thoroughly agree with these guidelines and restrictions.

As is the case for everyone who lives here, a formal request for most outside changes to your home has to be submitted to the Architectural Committee, which MC is a member of,  for approval.  The day it came up for approval, MC, excused himself from the discussion.  The Committee turned our request down!  This is where it gets long and frustrating.....MC decided that our light did meet all the requirements and improved the appearance of our home........so he fought City Hall.....his own City Hall.

Long, long story short................HE WON!!!!!!!

THE NEW LIGHT MATCHES THE EXISTING LIGHT THAT WAS INSTALLED BY THE BUILDER ON THE SIDE OF THE GARAGE DOOR.......

I am so, so proud of MC   ........HE NOW HAS A NEW TITLE.....MASTER "CONVINCER"

Moral of this story.....YES, YOU CAN FIGHT CITY HALL....... AND WIN
