i wasn't sure at first about this when i heard about it, but yesss! this is probably your best, most "ah ha!" solution that i've seen in a long time! i can't wait to see the cabinets!
looks really great...love the splash of red...have you thought about mounting the TV on the wall just above the unit for an even cleaner look?..we are looking forward to your international debut in Seoul!
Steve, It would be great if the TV could be mounted on the wall. Unfortunately, that has to be done during construction, or you have wires coming down the wall to the hook-up. Remember the epiphany has to be workable for your Dad to handle, he's not going to put wires behind walls without an electrician. AND-- he's not going to pay to have an electrician do the job!
Henry, Yes, there are smaller splashes of red in the room-- burnt orange(a side of red) and black vases from Poland, and there is some red in the kitchen area. Good question!
It looks like a different TV. It even looks like a different room...WOW....very impressed.

ReplyDeleteI like the "splash of red" idea. Should the color "repeat" itself in smaller ways throughout the room to move the eye?
