WHAT TO DO WHILE "WAITING"

MC AND I ARE IN THE PROCESS OF PAINTING THE KITCHEN CABINETS, and it's taking time.  We had to stop for the 2012 Holiday Tour of Homes, and then to enjoy the visit from our Daughter, Son in Law and Granddaughter.  We are restarting this afternoon.....It's HALF done!!!

We also are having my "saving the arm" chair delivered Thursday!  The "lounge" chair that we ordered last month...the one I have been searching for for over 6 months.....It's coming Thursday!!  I can't wait to have a comfortable spot to see TV!!!

Meanwhile I want to share something..  My post about the 2012 Holiday Tour created a lot of questions about the Bucket List House.  I have to tell the truth.  I added the two pictures of the Bucket List House from last year when it was on the Tour!  This year, literally, all we have done is hang the wreath on the front door......WE ARE BAD!  But we are tired and decided since we wouldn't have any guests during Christmas week, why?????

So for all of those who missed the Post of last year when the Bucket List House was on the Tour, I'm showing a RE-RUN!!!!   .....we have done a lot of changes over these last 12 months.   Dining / Kitchen tables flipped, chairs, paintings, mirrors, wall units...you name it ....tons of changes.....

 ENJOY.......REPRINT FROM LAST YEAR!

IT'S TIME..... LET THE FUN BEGIN................................

MC and I have had a ball (MC painting all the silver balls and ornaments gold) preparing for this day!!!

I'VE CREATED AND DIRECTED MC HAS DONE THE HARD WORK

If I may, I wish to tell you all a little about the Christmas decors we have had over our 52 years.

Back in the "Olden Days", the tree went up around December 18th and came down after January 6th.
While the children were growing up, the TREE, and it's decor, was a surprise.

About a week before Christmas, when my three little "angels" would go off to school,I would spend the day decorating the tree. Each year it was different!!! Different ornaments, colors, you name it.....no tree was ever the same !!!!
The kids loved coming home to a magical tree that they had never seen before!!
Their least favorite.....A BLACK TREE, yes the tree itself was BLACK. I filled it with peach roses!!!! I never hear the end of that one!!

ENJOY MY GOLD YEAR

WELCOME

We wish to thank all who visited us today!!!!
To all who were unable to be here, we hope the pictures enabled you to "see" the Bucket List House DRESSED-UP for Christmas!!!

SUN CITY PEACHTREE'S 2012 HOLIDAY TOUR OF HOMES

WHEW!!!!  IT'S OVER!!

Both MC and I are exhausted and relieved.  The Tour was a huge success and the proceeds were over the top!  We had half the  homes than the previous year BUT we were still able to raise over $1000.  I am so proud of all our gracious Homeowners,  Crafters,  Vendors and the volunteers....They did an outstanding job in making this a success!

The weekend began with a "Dress Rehearsal" of the 6 Homes.  Everyone involved toured the homes Saturday morning.  This was the only way the Homeowners,  Craft People,  Vendors and  the volunteers could have a chance to see the homes!

Saturday afternoon, MC and I helped those involved with the Gift House set up their tables.  We had hoped to have held the Gift House in an Inventory home, but our Very Good Sales Associates sold all of them!!!  So,  we had it at the Sales Center.  It was amazing..... two huge rooms overflowing with goodies!!!

I am excited in sharing with you some of the highlights of the weekend!!!

The special feature.....they converted a bedroom into one fantastic closet!!!!

The garlands on the pendant lighting ......so clever!

A Santa collection to die for!!!  These are only a few!!!

Now, have you ever seen a laundry room with "Gift Wrapped" cabinets....Love it!!

  Now, this is whimsy

HOUSE #5

The tree has ornaments from her childhood including beautiful family treasures.
Treasures and collections from all over the world

This home has a full finished basement designed for their Grandchildren!

One room has cabinets filled with dolls, toys for all ages,  and costumes for "dress-up" parties!

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF ACTIVE SENIORS!

I think most of you know that MC and I live in  DelWebb's Sun City Peachtree,  south of Atlanta. A few years ago, the Sales Center needed someone to decorate the Sales Office---- pronto.  They called on me and with a lot of help from MC and the Sales Associates we accomplished the job!

Well it happened again!  I got the phone call  asking for HELP.  This time I recruited my dear frineds in our little neighborhood, Dolcetto!

At 11:00 this morning we  went to work.  It's amazing what can be done, not knowing what you're doing.  We walked into a room filled with boxes,   and quickly divided and conquered.  Came up with a "theme" and we were off and running.  The decorations were left over from five years ago when the 12 models were decorated for the Holidays.  We were able to collect enough in a color that fit the colors of the space!

Could not have been able to do it without the help of the MEN!!
MC had meetings all day and wasn't able to help!
BUT

BRUCE
PETER
AND
JOHN
Saved the day!!!

Joan and Elaine were more than willing to help and have their picture taken!!!

 THE DOLCETTO "ELVES"
Kelly, Yours Truly, Joan, Elaine Candy, Deb and Peter and Bruce
John, cleverly insisted on  taking the picture..he's camera shy.  He didn't know we captured a picture of him "working"
In an hour and a half the Sales Center looked like a Winter Wonderland.

Tomorrow the Holiday Tour of Homes at Sun City Peachtree starts off with a Dress Rehearsal of the Homes at 11:00 am.  This will give all our homeowners, craft people, and helpers an opportunity to see the homes.  In addition to 6 Homes we have a number of very talented residents selling their "wares" at the Sales Center.

Tomorrow night our Golf Club is having a Dinner Dance, which I am really looking forward to.  Yes, MC dances!!!

Then Sunday at 1:30 the 2012 Sun City Holiday Tour of Homes begins,.....
I will share lots of pictures next week.

After the Tour, the Golf Club is holding a Cocktail Party .......a great way to sit, relax and enjoy conversations with all our friends!!!

See you all next week....
Patty
