FEBRUARY......

January was long and cold!!!
I wasn't going to write a new Post until we moved, but waiting IS TOO HARD!
I have been sitting here, not changing a thing, going crazy!!

Linda, our Realtor, started this madness when she stopped by yesterday afternoon.

She asked if I  ever used other colors in our home decor!

I immediately thought about my Red Ottoman!

We had bought the red ottoman years ago when Kenneth Brown, my favorite Designer,  suggested it for our cocktail table.  Kenneth believes every room needs some POP OF RED!

I must add at this point.  Magz, I am only borrowing it....it is yours and you will get it as soon as you move.

We had the ottoman packed away in the garage.  The moment I showed it to Linda all madness proceeded!!

We tore the house upside down.  Pictures, chairs, pillow, tons of  accessories ......all moved.....
We were adding RED to my White, Black, Gold, Silver and Gray decor!!!

It made sense!
What color comes to mind for February?  RED..of course!

OK....OK I'll stop the chatter and put up the pictures......

See that little POP of RED???

OTHER CHANGES
MIRROR DESK BACK IN BEDROOM
SWITCHED OUT BEDDING
ADDED MORE BLACK TO BEDROOM

AND A DAB OF PURPLE....

Thank you Linda.....
I am now ready for February!!!!!
Maybe I'm a RED person after all!!!

  3. It's perfect, Patty. We've been in Beaufort for the last week and I was so glad to see you in my inbox today. I was going to email you for an update. It's been the coldest, snowiest January, so hopefully the cheery red and warmer weather will get a big SOLD sign in your yard. Love the red ottoman and love even more that you just "happened" to have it in your garage...

  7. I like the addition of red although I love your decor either way. It's been a long cold and illness packed January here. Spring can't come soon enough.

  11. Love, love, love that big ole red ottoman! It REALLY is a POP! Not a fan of the chair in the dining room. Mr. Chair has his back to the entrance and doesn't relate to the rest of the room (because there isn't a table or a matching chair). I like it the way you had it with those big ole candlesticks!

    1. Tweaked the "angle" of the chair and added a small whimsical table. Candlesticks are now filling a big hole in the great room. Only have one of the chairs. It's there to pull up to the table as a Host Chair..

  13. I am completely in shock that you are moving. I love color but I would have told a realtor that I was leaving my house how it is, but that's my stubborness. I know it will sell super fast.

  14. Yep, that red ottoman was just what that room needed. A stroke of genius. Still can't believe you're moving. Again! Anyway, hope you and MC are well and surviving the cold. Chat soon
