WE HEARD FROM THE HOA.....WE ARE NOW

DOLCETTO

WE ARE OFFICIALLY NO LONGER A "POD"

When MC and I heard the wonderful news, that the Board approved our 1st choice.....We got in the car and drove to Atlanta to buy some bottles for our neighbors and ourselves.. We checked local shops, but they only could special order the variety. We didn't want to "wait" .....and it was a good reason to spend a fun day in Atlanta.

Dolcetto is a black wine grape variety widely grown in the Piedmont region of northwest Italy. The Italian word for dolcetto means "little sweet one", but it is not certain that the name originally carried any reference to the grape's sugar levels: it is possible that it derives from the name of the hills where the vine is cultivated. In any case the wines produced are nearly always dry. They can be tannic and fruity with moderate, or decidedly low, levels of acidity and are typically meant to be consumed one to two years after release.

Dolcetto wines are known for black cherry and licorice flavors with some prunes.
Overall, Dolcetto is considered a light, easy drinking red wine that pairs well with pastas and pizza dishes.
